Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are no more! The famous couple, who met, fell in love, and got engaged on Kaitlyn’s season of The Bachelorette in 2015, confirmed in a statement that they have broken up after three years together.
“After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the pair told People in a statement. "This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration.”
Kaitlyn and Shawn insisted they’re “very much committed to remaining friends” and “will continue to support each other.” While they admitted their relationship has been “very public,” they asked fans to “respect our decision and our privacy at this time.”
Despite the couple’s statement to People, another insider told Us Weekly that even though Kaitlyn called off the engagement, she didn’t end the relationship. “She won’t give anyone too many details, but they can’t see other people yet,” the source claimed.

Fans first suspected Kaitlyn and Shawn had called it quits when she stayed with family in Canada in August while Shawn stayed behind in Nashville. Kaitlyn denied rumors of a split and explained that Shawn only stayed in TN because he had just bought a new gym.
But in October, fans again wondered if the couple had split after Kaitlyn broke down on her Instagram story, saying she’d had “a hard day.” She also called her Instagram a “highlight reel” in the emotional video.
