Dump Him, Rachel! ‘Bachelorette’ Suitor Lee Garrett's Racist Tweets Uncovered

Seriously, ABC? After the network made history by hiring its first black Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, it’s been discovered that one of the suitors cast, Lee Garrett, has tweeted some extremely questionable things about both black-led organizations and women. The Nashville-based singer/songwriter is already a polarizing member of the show, but a quick scroll through his personal Twitter (which Lee has now made private) suggests that Lee is absolutely, 100% not the right guy for Rachel — or any woman!
“What’s the difference between the NAACP and the KKK? Wait for it…..One has the sense of shame to cover their racist *ss faces,” Lee tweeted in 2015. He also called #BlackLivesMatter a terrorist group in another shocking tweet.
A year later, Lee clarified his thoughts on Islam. “I don’t hate Muslims. I do hate Islam,” he shared. He also said he “wholeheartedly supports inhumane torture of terrorists.”

Lee has some interesting thoughts on feminists, too. Namely, that they cannot be attractive: “Guys… When is the last time YOU actually saw a pretty feminist? There is a reason for this.”

Pretty sure Rachel would disagree with that thought! Although Lee made it through the first rose ceremony, Rachel, a lawyer, will hopefully see through Lee’s Southern boy charm in round two.

Can you believe ABC cast a guy like Lee on The Bachelorette? Do you think Rachel will keep him around for long? Sound off in the comments below.
