Bella Hadid and The Weeknd are back together just two months after calling it quits on their relationship. The singer and the supermodel split in August, reportedly because of distance and their career commitments, but the "Starboy" crooner recently reached out to his ex and was spotted helping her celebrate her 23rd birthday in New York City on Thursday, October 11.
Bella, 23, celebrated her birthday at L'Avenue at Saks' lower level cocktail lounge Le Chalet in NYC with friends and family including mother Yolanda Hadid, sister Gigi Hadid, brother Anwar Hadid and his girlfriend Dua Lipa. The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, showed up to the party and was spotted taking shots with his on-again girlfriend at the bar.
"Abel met up with Bella last night for her third birthday celebration at L'Avenue. He was with her the entire night and they left together to go back to the apartment they both shared. You could tell that they were definitely in love and they both looked very happy being around each other" a source dished to E! News.
The source continued, "Bella and Abel have been in touch the last couple of weeks and have been working on their relationship. Initially, Abel reached out to Bella first checking in to say hello, and she agreed to meet up with him. There was no love lost between the two Abel just had a few things he needed to work on and his focus was elsewhere. They are in a better place right now but are trying to keep things on the down low. They both want to be more private about it this time around."

The couple were first linked at Coachella in 2015. They broke up for the first time in December 2015, but they have been off and on throughout the years. During one of their breaks, the Grammy winner dated Selena Gomez. They most recently split in August, reportedly because they didn't have the time to dedicate to their romance due to their busy careers.
Just a few weeks after their breakup, they had an awkward run-in at Mark Ronson's concert in Los Angeles on August 16. Bella appeared downcast and hastily left the venue just minutes after her beau arrived.
During their time apart, Bella kept busy by walking in various Fashion Week shows, while Abel made an appearance at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival to attend the premiere of Uncut Gems, in which he had his first role in a feature film.
