Beyoncé, Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, and more celebrities performed at the Global Citizens Festival: Mandela 100 on December 2 in South Africa. The event benefitted Nelson Mandela’s passion for lowering poverty rates and creating more public programs for African countries.
Beyoncé and Jay Z took the stage together once again. They last performed at the festival as a duo in 2014. Bey also returned to the festival solo in 2015. The pair continued their success from their “On The Run II” Tour with hits from their joint album and several outfit changes.
Beyoncé also performed with Ed. He was casually dressed in a t-shirt and jeans as he sang with a guitar. In contrast, Bey wore a hot pink ruffled gown as they did a duet to the song “Perfect.”
Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin also performed a duet at the festival. The two beamed as they performed their newly released song “E-Lo.”
The festival didn’t just draw musicians in for duets and group performances. Kacey Musgraves sang alone with her guitar on stage before she was joined by Chris.
