Bob Harper is not trying to hear it! The former Biggest Loser trainer is finally commenting after former contestants accused the show producers in 2016 of encouraging them to take street drugs and starve themselves in order to lose the weight.
Many did not keep it off after their stint on the show, which led a study about why that was. Bob says the contestants were “angry” about their weight gain, leading them to point blame at the show.
He told Page Six, “They might have looked at themselves in the mirror and thought "Wait, why do I look the way I do?"'
“I just I felt like they were upset, they were angry, they were needing to blame someone for where their lives were right now.”

The former contestants claimed in addition to providing drugs, they were subjected to questionable medical exams and some people even ended up passing out while at their final weigh-in.
“People would take amphetamines, water pills, diuretics, and throw up in the bathroom,” Season 2’s Suzanne Mendonca said. “They would take their spin bikes into the steam room to work up a sweat. I vomited every single day. Bob Harper tells people to throw up: ‘Good,’ he says. ‘You’ll lose more calories.’ ”
But Bob told Page Six, “Did it hurt me? Yes, because I put my whole life into this. I took it very personally.'”
