RadarOnline.com has learned that doctors removed Brown’s breathing tube on Tuesday in order to perform a tracheotomy on the 21-year-old. The procedure opened an airway to Brown’s trachea and was done after doctors began having “complications” with Brown’s breathing tube, said an insider with knowledge of Brown’s condition.

Brown has been in a medically-induced coma since being discovered at her home in January. And a medical professional speaking to RadarOnline.com said that the tracheotomy helps reduce the risks that come with having a breathing tube in a patient’s mouth.

"The longer someone is on a breathing tube via their mouths, the risk for infections, breathing problems just increases significantly,” the medical professional said. “The advantage of a tracheotomy is that it's a direct airway into the trachea (windpipe). It's a surgical procedure that is done in surgery, and definitely not performed in a patient's room.” But the professional added that the procedure can possibly leave a patient unable to speak naturally in the future.

It has also been revealed that Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has been banned from her bedside at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. And a source close to the situation said he’s been locked out of the townhouse the pair shared as well. “Nick has been told the townhouse is no longer available for him to live in and to find other living accommodations,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “The locks have been changed, and since it’s a gated community, security has been notified to not let Nick anywhere on the premises. If Nick is spotted anywhere in the complex or near the residence, there have been strict instructions to call the police immediately so he can be cited for trespassing.” Do you think Nick Gordon should be allowed to visit Bobbi Kristina?
