In numerous interviews form the early ‘90s, Houston bragged about her daughter’s budding musical talents, saying that her toddler daughter was already learning to harmonize and loved singing.
Bobbi Kristina made her first major appearance on national television back in 1994 at the American Music Awards. In a beloved clip from the show, which you can watch above around the 4:18 mark, Houston instructed an infant Krissy not to grab the mic as she held her while accepting her award.
A five-year-old Bobbi Kristina made an adorable cameo during Houston’s live show in Washington, D.C., in 1997. She ran out on the stage as the singer was speaking with the crowd. At one point Houston asked Krissy to sing a little. But Bobbi Kristina refused, shaking her head with a cute smile.
Bobbi Kristina traveled with her mother for years as she toured the world during the ’90s and early 2000s, with Houston often bringing her daughter out on stage with her. She even made an appearance on the iconic title track to Houston’s 1998 album, My Love Is Your Love, singing a few lines at the end of the song. You can watch her perform it live on stage with her mom in the video above!
