Cissy Houston and Bobby Brown appear to be keeping their distance as they remain by the bedside of the late Whitney Houston’s only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Bobbi Kristina has been hospitalized since Jan. 31 after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta, Georgia, home. She was discovered by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend. And after allegedly viewing injuries on her body, authorities are reportedly now investigating if any foul play may have been involved in the incident.
Though she’s visited Emory University Hospital several times to see her granddaughter, Cissy is reportedly still at odds with Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby. The two have had a strained relationship for the past few years, and emotions are now seeming to boil over as they deal with Bobbi Kristina's situation.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, sources inside and outside the hospital say that Bobby and Cissy appear to be planning their visits so they won’t see each other, and they have arrived and left separately from hospital as well. But for a time on Saturday, they did end up being at the hospital at the same time.

Cissy and Bobby have also released separate statements on Krissy’s situation instead of releasing a joint one, hinting at some possible discord between the two sides of the Houston-Brown family. However, in both statements they asked that people pray for Bobbi Kristina’s recovery.

The family issues aren’t reserved for just Bobby and his former mother-in-law, though. Members of the Brown family were also involved in a scuffle at a W hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. In that incident, authorities say Brown’s sister Tina Brown and her son Shayne Brown were involved in a brawl, with Tina hitting Shayne over the head with a bottle.
On Friday, Bobby claimed that Bobbi Kristina was doing “good.” However, by Tuesday, reports surfaced that the family will be taking the 21-year-old off of life support on Wednesday.
