Bode Miller and his wife Morgan Beck have gone through a roller coaster of emotions the last couple months. They lost their daughter in a tragic accident in June, and then four months later, they welcomed their fourth child together. In an appearance on the Today show, the skier revealed how they’re honoring their late daughter with their new baby boy.
Bode told Savannah Guthrie the 7-week-old’s name is Easton Vaughn Rek Miller. He was named after their daughter, Emeline.
Emmy, as her dad called her, was 19 months old when she tragically drowned in a neighbor's pool.
The couple didn’t name their newest addition right off the bat. They referred to him as “baby brother” for about three weeks, he told the host.

“If there’s one thing that can help to heal your heart, it’s a baby,” the Olympian said of the whirlwind of emotions. “And he’s a special one,” he continued.
Bode also revealed that his and Morgan’s older two sons, Samuel, 5, and Nash, 3, constantly talk about their baby sister, making her presence known at home. Bode also has a fifth child, 10-year-old daughter, Neesyn Dacey, with ex Chanel Johnson.
