Brad Pitt is learning to say less. During his hearing in front of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 9, the actor had to be cut off mid sentence.

Brad, 55, and fellow actor Diane Keaton appeared in front of the board in order to secure more funding for the redesign of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

However, during his impassioned speech about architecture, chairwoman Janice Hahn stepped in to let him know he was out of time.

“It brings me great pain to say wrap it up Mr. Pitt,” Janice said to the amusement of the rest of the room. “It kills me to say that but wrap it up.”

Brad’s long winded speech had the desired effect and the board approved a $117.5 million in county funds. In total, the project is expected to cost a whooping $650 million.
