Bruce Jenner has been in the headlines non-stop after news broke that the reality star is transitioning into a woman. But now the former Olympian is in the news for being involved in a tragic car accident over the weekend that left one driver dead.
Check out five things you need to know from what caused the crash to Bruce’s involvement.
The deadly crash all started when the Keeping up with the Kardashians star ran into a white Lexus from behind with his Escalade, which was towing a vehicle. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Philip Brooks continued that the Lexus was pushed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Hummer H2. The cause of the crash started when a Prius stopped in the northbound lanes of the highway, forcing the Escalade to crash into the Lexus.
The driver of the Lexus was killed, while five people were sent to the hospital with injuries. RadarOnline.com reported that Bruce and the driver of the Prius are “being investigated for potential involuntary manslaughter.”
A source close to Bruce told RadarOnline.com, “If the driver of the Prius was attempting to make an illegal U-turn or was using a cell phone to talk or text, which is illegal while driving, that person could absolutely be charged.” It was first reported that the paparazzi contributed to the crash, as Bruce was trying to drive away from the photographers. But police shutdown those claims. The E! star even passed sobriety tests and submitted a blood test at a hospital.

Kris Jenner’s ex commented on the accident by releasing a statement to People. "My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," Bruce said. "It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time." He added, "I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."

The insider also told RadarOnline.com that Bruce had been taking hormones at the time of the crash prior to a scheduled gender reassignment surgery. “He was taking very low dosage of hormones that his doctor had prescribed,” the source said. “Bruce has nothing to hide, and was very cooperative with cops, and appreciated their professionalism.”
