Ouch! Busy Philipps had to be hospitalized after sunburning her eyes on Tuesday. The actress first thought her swollen and itchy eyes might be due to allergies, but as it got more and more painful she decided to go to the ER where she discovered it was something much worse! "Anyone have any ideas what to do about this weird allergy under eye bag/rash?" the actress shared with a photo of her red and swollen eyes on Monday evening.
But after the 38-year-old explained that she couldn't open her eyes and that nothing was helping she decided to visit the ER. And it turns out, it wasn't allergies! "I have Photo Keratitis from bright lights/sun exposure," she explained alongside a photo of her in a hospital bed. "WHO EVEN KNEW THAT WAS A THING?"
"It felt like there were shards of glass in both my eyes," she added.

But don't worry, she assured her fans she's fine! "I sunburned my eyes from my photo shoot,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram story on her way home from the hospital. “I was just saying though it’s so on-brand I get one big magazine cover and I do one photo shoot and I burn my eyeballs."
"Gonna tell you the whole story on this week's @nodocspodcast," she continued, referring to the podcast that her and her husband Steve do on health and medicine.
The couple were snapped after the horrifying injury, and the Dawson's Creek star made sure to cover up her eyes with big dark sunglasses.
