After making her fierce debut on the cover of Vanity Fair in July, Caitlyn Jenner’s fame has ballooned as the public remains intrigued by her powerful story. But her newfound place in the spotlight hasn’t kept the reality TV star from occasionally bending the truth, and we’ve gathered all of Cait’s biggest lies and exaggerations since her history making reveal!
Caitlyn faced backlash from some of her family members after she took several digs at her ex-wife Kris Jenner in her Vanity Fair interview. Both sides of the exes' story were presented in the writeup, but the tales varied so much that most were left confused about what really led to the couple’s demise.
Caitlyn claimed that Kris knew about her gender struggles and initial attempt to transition in the 1980s before their marriage. But Kris countered these claims, saying that Caitlyn hadn’t been completely upfront about her plans. “He told me he had done hormones back in the early 80s ... He never really explained it. There wasn’t a gender issue. Nobody mentioned a gender issue. Somebody mentioned that at one point in his life liked to dress up,” she said.
Caitlyn also told Diane Sawyer that Kris had witnessed her cross-dressing. But Kris later said that she had never once seen Caitlyn cross-dressing but had only seen her clothes in the couple’s home.

Caitlyn's reality TV show I Am Cait has also housed a few untruths. On the show, Caitlyn appears to be involved in a budding romance with actress Candis Cayne. But Cayne recently revealed that the pair are just friends, exposing their on-screen romance as reality TV fluff.
Their friendship has also been called out. On the show it appears that the duo’s bond happened organically. But a source speaking to RadarOnline.com said that Cayne auditioned to be Cait’s friend on the show and was paid to film for the series. The source added that her other transgender friends on the show were cast as well!
“Caitlyn didn’t just meet all of these already famous transgender people by accident – of course they were cast and, yes, they are getting paid,” the source said.
And when it comes to Caitlyn receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs this year, a source told RadarOnline.com that it was Caitlyn's team -- not ESPN -- that came up with the idea for Caitlyn to receive the major honor.
The source said her agents spoke to ESPN about the idea “and they suggested that she receive the Arthur Ashe award” in return for PR plugs on I Am Cait. The source added, “It was a brilliant move because the executives at ESPN loved the idea, and immediately began making sure it got done. Caitlyn’s journey to accepting the award will also be featured on her upcoming reality show, I Am Cait.” What do you think is Caitlyn's biggest fib?
