The thrill is gone! Candis Cayne and her friend Caitlyn Jenner's interactions on I Am Cait left most people convinced romance was brewing between the duo. But Cayne has officially revealed that the two are just friends!
“Caitlyn and I are really good friends. I really love her a lot, and it’s been amazing being by her side through this whole process,” she told Access Hollywood Live.
Cayne has made several appearances on I Am Cait, and went as far as to ask Jenner out on a date during one episode. However, a source close to the Kardashian-Jenner family told RadarOnline.com that their friendship is actually the product of a little reality TV trickery.
The source said that Caitlyn “actually held auditions for the role of her transgender BFFs for the television show,” eventually choosing Cayne to play the role of one of her besties on the series.

“Caitlyn didn’t just meet all of these already famous transgender people by accident – of course they were cast and, yes, they are getting paid,” the source said.
The inclusion of the dating storyline was likely an attempt to keep fans interested in the show. But the look into Caitlyn’s love life hasn’t been enough to improve the show’s disappointing ratings.
There was talk that E! was even considering canceling the show before its first season finished. And sources speaking to RadarOnline.com have revealed that Caitlyn is now looking to her ex Kris Jenner for guidance on salvaging the struggling reality show!
