The singer and reality star posed for this photo in mid-December -- which is the first time fans have seen Carrie since her accident -- just one month after Carrie received 40-50 stitches to her face.
“I had no idea she got hurt prior to meeting her. She had a wrist brace on, but I didn’t think much of it until I saw the headlines after I posted our picture together,” Adrienne told Us Weekly. “She looked great and seemed to be in great spirits.”
As OK! readers know, the 34-year-old singer injured her face after falling down steps outside her Nashville home in November.
“In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well,” she explained in a year-end message to her fans. “I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [my husband] Mike [Fisher] that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in. When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”
Since the accident, Carrie has kept a low profile on social media, only showing either partial images of her face, “throwback” photos, or pics of her lounging at home.
However, it seems Carrie has healed nicely as Adrienne said she “didn’t notice anything amiss on her face” after seeing her at the gym. She added, “She looked lovely even after working out on the machine, something I wish I could say for myself.”
