Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell Is Suffering From Depression And Anxiety During Pregnancy! Get The Details

It was back in August, just weeks after announcing her second pregnancy, that Catelynn Lowell also revealed that she suffers from anxiety and depression. But as Cate nears the end of her pregnancy with her and Tyler Baltierra’s daughter, it seems like her symptoms might be coming back in full swing.

Catelynn just shared this photo which explains the feelings one has with anxiety and depression, saying “#true I suffer with both… does feel like hell… #wegotthis.” Catelynn takes medicine to treat her anxiety and depression, though we’d imagine that like hormones, the feelings are amplified during pregnancy.

It’s not easy to pinpoint an exact moment that triggered the illnesses in Catelynn, though placing their daughter Carly for adoption as teenagers most certainly helped her onset of symptoms. It’s been almost six years and we still can’t get through her episode of 16 & Pregnant without crying!

Also, Catelynn’s had long-running issues with her mom, April, who was an addict and alcoholic her whole life. Catelynn and April worked out many of their problems last year on Vh1’s Couples Therapy, but her mom’s clearly left some scars.

Catelynn and Tyler are releasing their first book, Conquering Chaos, in March, which will talk about their growing up in broken homes and their current advocacy for adoption. And we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a whole chapter or two in it that helps us better understand what Catelynn’s been going through with anxiety and depression.

However, Catelynn has a lot to be thankful for! She is 36 weeks pregnant with her and Tyler’s baby, she’s towards the end of filming Teen Mom’s reboot season, and she’s most likely going to become a New York Times best-selling author once the book comes out. Anxiety and depression, be gone!
