These celebrities have turned the ordinary tramp stamp into an instant message. Find out what each lower back tattoo means in GUESS THAT TAT!
Can you figure out who the bikini’d lady above is?
It's Kaley Cuoco!
Tattoo: A Chinese character.
What it means: Faith.
What she says about it: On The Ellen DeGeneres Show last year, the Big Bang Theory star told Ellen of her decision, “It was so dumb. I got it at 17, when I was trying to be cool.” Now, she says, “I kind of forget it’s there.” But the experience didn’t sour her on tats forever. She just got new ink: her wedding date to hubby Ryan Sweeting, in large Roman numerals between her shoulder blades.
Guess. That. Tat!
It's Lindsay Lohan!
Tattoo: The words “La Bella Vita.”
What it means: A troubled life hasn’t dulled Lindsay’s optimism. Translated from Italian, it reads, “The beautiful life.”
What she says about it: LiLo got the tat in honor of her maternal grandfather, who passed away in 2004. She read a poem by the same name at his funeral, then got inked six months later in New Orleans while shooting the romantic comedy Just My Luck.
Guess. That. Tat!
It's Nicole Richie!
Tattoo: A cross.
What it means: A symbol of her Catholic faith.
What she says about it: Of the ink she snuck out to get at 16, Nicole has tweeted, “Woke up feeling really good about myself, until I remembered I have a tramp stamp.” She looked into having it removed on an episode of her VH1 series, Candidly Nicole, but opted out afer discovering the process involved laser appointments every eight weeks for a year.

Guess. That. Tat!
It's Britney Spears!
Tattoo: A small fairy.
What it means: Beautiful creatures with supernatural powers, fairies represent innocence and imagination.
What she says about it: Britney has never gone on record about her 10-plus tattoos, perhaps because a couple of them are flat-out mistakes—such as the Chinese symbol on her hip that was supposed to translate to “mysterious” but actually reads “strange.” Get a proofreader, Brit!
Guess. That. Tat!
It's Christina Aguilera!
Tattoo: Excerpt from a Hebrew psalm over initials “JB.”
What it means: The ink’s translation reads “I am my beloved, and my beloved is mine.” The “JB” refers to her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman, from whom she split in 2010.
What she says about it: Christina has not said anything about this tattoo, but we wonder if new baby daddy and fiancé Matthew Rutler has! It might be time to tweak those letters, Xtina!
Guess. That. Tat!
It's Khloe Kardashian!
Tattoo: The word “Daddy” with a cross and angel wings.
What it means: It honors her father, Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at age 59.
What she says about it: In 2009, Khloé told Ryan Seacrest on his L.A. radio show that she doesn’t regret the tattoo, just its “tramp stamp” location. Tat-free sis Kim Kardashian’s thoughts on the matter: “You don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.”
