Chris Brown is sparking engagement rumors. On Sunday, December 22, the “No Guidance” singer, 30, posted a photo of himself sleeping with his newborn son Aeko lying across his chest when fans noticed a luxurious diamond ring on Chris’s finger thus sparking rumors surrounding the status of him and Ammika Harris relationship.
Fans instantly took to the comment sections curious to know the story behind the mysterious ring. “Pause Chris Brown got a ring on his wedding finger, like did I miss something,” one user wrote. Another added, “So you mean to tell me Chris Brown done had 2 babies on me now he’s engaged too??”
Chris’s engagement rumors come after the singer’s on and off again relationship to Ammika , 26, was seemingly back on. The couple appeared to have broken up before the birth of their son but later reconciled.
On December 11, 2019, Chris revealed the first photo of baby Aeko on Instagram. In the photo, the “Heat” singer appeared to cradle Aeko’s foot while wearing a hospital. “AEKO CATORI BROWN,” Chris captioned the black and white photo. Ammika later confirmed the news by reposting the same image on her Instagram Stories.
The pair kept the news of their pregnancy low key. Last month, the “Deuces” singer hinted that the model had given birth when he shared two cryptic posts to social media.
On the first post, Chris shared a photo of himself smiling with the caption, “11-20-19.” In the other post, the Indigo star sported a sweater that had the word “born” on it.
Aeko marks Ammika’s first child while making it Chris’s second. The R&B singer welcomed his daughter Royalty back in May 2014 with ex-girlfriend Nia Guzman.
Chris has opened up about fatherhood and during an interview explained that being a hands-on dad was very important to him. “I didn't care about how me and Nia didn't have a relationship, I didn't care about any situation. I just wanted to see Royalty. I just wanted to be able to have that opportunity, as something personal to me. I'm not gonna be upset, I'm not gonna be mad. I have to be honest with myself and pick the priorities over the situation. I had to make my priority my daughter," he said at the time.
