Christina Anstead’s Husband Taking Extreme Measures To Make Sure Their Son Has A British Accent
Christina Anstead might have given birth to her son Hudson on this side of the pond, but her UK-born husband Ant is doing whatever it takes to ensure the baby will have a British accent. In an adorable video posted to his Instagram account, Ant gave followers a glimpse into the vocab lessons he’s been giving the infant.
In the clip, Ant, 40, held a sleeping Hudson in his arm. “Okay Huds, I appreciate that you’re only a couple of days old at the moment but this is really important to me," he said. “You see this room we’re standing in? This room is called a garage.” He pronounced the last word the British way, putting emphasis on the second syllable.
Then Ant panned the camera to the hood of the car, “This is a bonnet,” he explained to the still-sleeping baby.
“A boot,” he said with the car’s trunk in focus. After zooming in on the car’s gas tank Ant announced, “This is where you can put one of two things in: fuel or petrol.”
The For the Love of Cars star’s lessons also included spelling the word “tire” like “tyre.” Ant also started teaching the basics of the metric system before saying, “We’ll get on to the metric system tomorrow."

“Just making sure I get in there early!” Ant wrote in the caption under the video. “Establishing the essential groundwork for Hudson’s first day in the garage!” Then he addressed his 36-year-old wife, “@christinaanstead what needs to be done to ensure our little chap has a British accent?”
Ant and the Flip Or Flop star welcomed their first child together on September 6 and Christina shared the exciting news on Instagram. "Ant and I are so excited to welcome Hudson London Anstead into the world," she wrote. "Our hearts are SO full of love and joy! ? Our healthy baby boy was born this morning - 9/6/19 – 7 lbs 7 oz 19.5 inches long."
Days later, she announced that both she and the newborn were leaving the hospital. "Time to go home,” she wrote on her Story. "We had the most amazing hospital experience… doctors, nurses, entire staff — all incredible.” Christina is also mom to daughter Taylor and son Brayden, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa.
