New Mom Christina Anstead Gives A Sweet Update On Her Life With Baby Hudson
Christina Anstead is settling into her life as a new mom of three. On October 1, the HGTV star took to Instagram and gave fans a glimpse into how she and baby Hudson have been bonding and adjusting to life at home.
The Flip or Flop star, 36, posted a picture of Hudson swaddled in blankets and lying across her lap. “Luckily I love my room because we spend the majority of our time here,” she wrote over the adorable snap.
Christina and husband Ant welcomed their son on September 6. Though the interior designer only gave birth less than a month ago, she didn’t give herself enough time to completely recover. Most recently, she threw a huge pool party in honor of her daughter Taylor’s 9th birthday.
However, Christina got a wake up call that forced her to take a few steps back and indulge in some necessary self care. “I felt totally fine since one week postpartum — like zero pain but I was resting and taking it easy and then I threw Tay a bday party and was lifting and running around all weekend... and yesterday I woke up like oh crap ... and today oh crap turned into oh s**t,” she wrote under a picture of her cuddling with Hudson. “I definitely hurt myself.”

“It’s not the C-section incision area that hurts it’s my left abdomen and it hurts bad,” she explained before issuing a warning to her fellow new moms. “Please anyone who just had a baby don’t overdo it.”
“I always want to be the people pleaser in the family and make sure everyone knows how much I care about them- but in doing so I wasn’t taking care of myself,” Christina ended her post. “Back to bed rest and baby cuddles.”
Last month, Christina took to Instagram to share an unexpected aspect of her postpartum health routine. She revealed that she has been eating her own placenta —in the form of custom-made pills — to aid in her recovery. Over a picture of the capsules she wrote at the time, “First time I’ve tried it — and I think these placenta encapsulation pills are working."
