Flip or Flop star Christina El Moussa is discussing where she's at with her life months after her messy divorce from ex-husband Tarek was finalized.
Christina, who is the cover for the latest edition of PEOPLE magazine, opened up about her divorce from Tarek nearly two years after their separation. “I felt like I was drowning,” she said. “I was doing whatever I could to stay above water and just get through the day.”
Things have gotten better for the two of them in recent months. Their divorce was finalized in January of 2018 and they continue to amicably coparent their two children: daughter, Taylor, 7, and son, Brayden, 2.
It was right at the start of the year when Christina started envisioning what her future was going to be. “It was New Year’s Eve, and I was looking at 2018, and I thought of the year as the rebuild,” she told PEOPLE. “I’m starting from scratch, basically.”

Looks as if things are going her way with that thought process, as she is filming for her new solo HGTV series called Christina on the Coast. "The first episode is going to follow me house hunting for my new house and choosing it, and then fixing it up and moving the kids in,” Christina revealed.
She's actually moving into a new house in Newport Beach, California after selling the one she had with Tarek in Yorba Linda. The other episodes in her new series will show her helping other homeowners make over their spaces to mirror her coastal style.
