Yung Miami — part of the duo City Girls — narrowly escaped after her vehicle was shot at in Miami. According to multiple reports, an unidentified assailant fired at the pregnant rapper while she was at Circle House Studios.
Yung Miami, 25, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, was leaving the studio and sitting in her G-wagon when the shots allegedly began.
After the incident, one eyewitness took to Instagram and called for more bodyguards and protection. "I was standing right there,” the person wrote on the "Neighborhood Talks" Instagram account. “Caresha new G Wagon was shot at leaving Circle House…YALL need to give her better security! Poor baby was running across the street tryna run b4 police came. Smh wow prayers for her.”
In another clip that surfaced on social media, Yung Miami appeared to address officers following the harrowing event. “They just started shooting,” she said in the video. “But they had their car lights off so I never saw them. Whoever it was they had their lights off. I don’t know where they came from.”
“The shots came from behind me,” she added.
The Miami-Dade police department is investigating the shooting but claims there are no suspects at the time.
Earlier this month, jailed Miami rapper Kodak Black received backlash after he released a freestyle in which he threatened to physically assault the pregnant “Act Up” rapper. “And I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808’s baby/When I see her Imma hit that b***h in her stomach/The way I keep this s**t too real f**king up my money,” he rapped in the now-deleted freestyle.
Shortly after the freestyle went viral, Yung Miami defended herself on Instagram. “Poor a** n***a Kodak ain’t dust s**t!” she wrote.
