Jana Duggar has been the subject of courtship rumors for years and finally opened up about the topic on the October 22 episode of Counting On! Her younger brother Jedidiah vouched in a confessional that his sister does have a lot of potential suitors, but to his own surprise, she hasn’t accepted any.
“Jana has a bunch of guys after her,” Jedidiah, 20, said in a confessional. “And so I think it’s just a matter of time before Mr. Right comes around.”
In a teaser clip, a producer asked Jana, 29, “Do you feel the pressure to get married?” The Counting On star took an exaggerated breath and seemed annoyed by the question.
Fans often scrutinize Jana because most of her siblings courted and got married in their early 20s. Jana’s younger siblings Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, and Joy-Anna are all married with children. Her twin brother, John-David, is also married and his wife, Abbie Burnett, is expecting a baby next year.
Her 20-year-old twins brothers, Jedidiah and Jeremiah, and 19-year-old brother, Jason, also go on a road trip together on the October 22, which results in one of them courting.
Jana rarely addresses her dating life, but in August she responded to a fan who commented, “Would love to see you finding your handsome prince ?” on her photo. She replied, “Maybe he's riding in on a green turtle instead of a white horse. Still searching for Mr. Right. In the words of Michael Bublé, 'Just haven't met him yet!'”
In April, she replied to another fan that pressed about her relationship status. "I have 'courted' or 'dated' a few guys but so far nothing has gone into a serious relationship,” she explained in a now-deleted comment. “Just continuing to wait and pray for the right guy to come along.”
Amid pressure from Counting On fans, Jana is reported to be getting heat from her “frustrated” parents, Jim Bob and Michelle. “Meet a nice boy, date, get engaged, marry and start a family right away — that’s just how the Duggars do things,” an insider exclusively told InTouch Weekly. “But Jana isn’t going to marry someone just to follow the family norm — and that’s refreshing.”
