Jessa Duggar uploaded a tutorial of herself cutting her husband Ben Seewald’s hair! The Counting On star effortlessly gave Ben a skin fade and got praise from professional hairstylists.
“It’s haircut time,” Ben, 24, said in a video Jessa, 27, uploaded on YouTube on February 26. “It’s Saturday night and Jess always cuts my hair so here we go.”
Jessa revealed, “I am not a professional but I’ve been cutting hair for my brothers, their friends, family. I really enjoy it.” She later added, “I’ve been cutting hair about 15 years, but I used to only buzzcut back in the day.”
The Counting On star gave her husband a skin fade haircut using scissors and clippers. “Is there anything you can’t do?! You’re quite a talented young lady. Thank you for sharing your life with us,” one fan commented. Another said, “Jack of all trades lol.”
Many professional hairstylists praised Jessa for the end result of Ben’s haircut. “I am a professional hairstylist. First off I think you did an amazing job. Bald fades are not easy to do,” one person said. “I’m a professional hairstylist and I think you did an amazing job!! One fan suggested Jessa should apply for a cosmetologist license because she cuts her hair, her husband’s hair, and her sons. “I’ve been a hairstylist for about 15 years now and I have to say you did an amazing job! Jess you really should consider getting your cos. license!” the fan commented. “I love your family please keep making videos, I look toward to them!!!”
Jessa was previously criticized for cutting her son Henry’s hair after she uploaded a tutorial in December 2019. She has since uploaded several videos cutting and styling hair. “You do a good, well thought out job! I have seen professional haircuts that were not as nice. Don't ever apologize for your work. It is great,” a fan commented.
The Counting On star encouraged moms in December 2019 to try and cut their children’s hair. “Do not be intimidated! You can do this! It’s not as complicated as it might seem,” she told her fans.
“How about letting the professionals do it! Like the ones who went to school and do this for a LIVING,” one person wrote. Jessa clapped back, “I get my hair cut by a professional at least 2x a year— but I love cutting hair for my husband, my boys and my bros, and they love that they don’t have to pay to get it done. It’s great for all of us to branch out and learn new skills whenever we can!”
