John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett officially announced their baby’s gender! The Counting On stars teased fans on August 19 with photos from the reveal party and gave a major hint.
“Boy or girl, what’s your guess?” John David, 29, and Abbie, 27, captioned photos from their gender reveal. Fans quickly guessed it was a girl because there was pink confetti covering the grass in one picture.
The Counting On fans were correct! “We’re so excited to announce that we are having a baby girl,” John David and Abbie said in a video of the reveal shared by TLC on August 20.
“We knew the gender of our baby but the rest of our family didn’t,” the father-to-be said. “Nobody here knew except for Jana.” As Counting On stars know John David and Jana are the only twins out of the 19 Duggar siblings.

“I’m so excited about hair bows and pink dresses and lots of sparkles,” Abbie said.
John David added, “I just hope she’s as pretty as her mommy. I know she will be.”
Abbie and John David got married in November 2018. They announced they were having a baby on August 1. The Counting On star is already in her second trimester.
