Joy-Anna Duggar opted out of her family’s trip to visit her sister Jinger in Los Angeles to go on a hunting trip with some of her brothers and her husband Austin Forsyth! The Counting On star got new camouflage gear with Jason, Justin, and James for their outdoor adventure.
Joy-Anna, 21, documented her trip to get hunting clothing on her Instagram Story, but didn’t initially reveal where her trip with her husband and brothers would be.
She later posted a selfie to Instagram on October 10 with her family bundled up in camouflage. “C O L O R A D O,” she captioned the picture.
The Counting On star revealed, “Y’all! I got to come with the guys this year on their Elk Hunting trip!”
“It’s freezing cold and we have already done a ton of hiking, but we’re excited cause we’ve already spotted some elk,” she added. “Can’t wait for opening morning! It is absolutely GORGEOUS here!”
Joy-Anna also revealed the special connection she and Austin, 25, have to Colorado. “We came on a trip to Colorado soon after we were married! He loves the mountains!” she told a fan in the comments section.

The siblings and Austin chose the snow-capped outdoors in Aspen over the beaches in Los Angeles. Michelle and Jim Bob touched down in California on October 8 to visit Jinger, 25, and Jeremy Vuolo and their baby Felicity.
Although Joy-Anna and some of her brothers had other plans, she certainly felt like she was missing out. The Duggar family posted a photo of Michelle, Jinger, and their youngest daughter Josie captioned, “SO thrilled to be in California spending time with @jingervuolo!!”
“Y’all are so pretty!! ? Sooo wish we could be there!!” Joy-Anna commented.
Joy-Anna has always seemed to favor trips with her brothers over her sisters. The mom-of-one spent a few days bonding with her younger brothers at Fort Rock Christian Family Camp and Christian Retreat Center in August. She posted a group photo with them and captioned the moment, “My best friends! Still can’t get them to smile and look at the camera at the same time!” She also added the hashtags “Best Brothers A Girl Could Ask For” and “Missing A Few Bros.”
