“This is all part of a well-orchestrated and carefully planned career redemption tour being organized by some of the best public relations advisors and crisis managers in the business,” sources told Radar, despite Lochte claiming he signed up for the show before the scandal became public.
Dancing away his sorrows? As RadarOnline revealed, Ryan Lochte is seeking career redemption from his Rio scandal, and signed up for DWTS after ABC failed to sign on gilded Olympian Simone Biles, who was unable to attend due to her busy post Rio schedule.
And Lochte — who will be partnering up with dance pro Cheryl Burke — isn’t the only Olympain to be joining season 23. Laurie Hernandez will also be participating alongside Val Chmerkovskiy!

Another major headliner for this season is none other than Blac Chyna’s bestie, Amber Rose! Who wouldn’t want to see Amber shake that booty on the dance floor?
But these are far from the only A-listers that will be battling it out on the dance floor! Other castmembers include Brady Bunch icon Maureen McCormick, Little Women LA star Terra Jolé, actress Marilu Henner, Grammy winner Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Wizzards Of Waverly Place alum actor Jake T. Austin, Detroit Lions alum Calvin Johnson, country superstar Jana Kramer and race car icon James Hinchcliffe.
Even former Texas governor Rick Perry will be in the run for the show’s sparkling trophy!
