Danielle Fishel gave fans an Instagram update on her infant son Adler on Friday, July 12, and revealed that he's still in the hospital but improving every day. The Boy Meets World star also shared how she's doing emotionally during this trying time.
Danielle, 38, welcomed her son four weeks before her due date on June 24.
The infant was born with fluid in his lungs so he was moved to the NICU for additional monitoring and treatment.
"We're still in the hospital but Adler is getting better and stronger every day. @jensenkarp and I keep reminding ourselves that we are extremely lucky — Adler *will* eventually come home with us — and therefore this is nothing but an enormous test of our patience and willingness to relinquish control. Two things I have never been plentiful in but are absolutely necessary in parenthood!" she captioned a photo of her son in a onesie.

She continued, " He is also receiving the best possible care from the most loving, warm, kind, intelligent nurses and doctors the world has ever known! Literal angels. Thank you to everyone who has sent their messages of encouragement, hope, love, and prayers for our family. They have comforted us and been such an inspiration when we've felt down. Now, I must get back to dressing our baby in all my favorite restaurant onesies."
The Dish host and husband Jensen Karp announced they were pregnant with their first child in January 2019.
The couple got engaged in March 2018 and tied the knot in November 2018.
