Demi Lovato's New Album Set To Tell 'Her Side Of The Story' Almost A Year After Near-Fatal Drug Overdose

Demi Lovato teased details of her highly-anticipated seventh album on her Instagram stories on Tuesday, June 25. The singer is prepared to open up about her road to sobriety after her drug overdose in July 2018.
Demi. 26, wrote on Instagram, "You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want."
"You get to be be as open and honest as possible and tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it…” the "Confident" songstress wrote. She also added an emoji of a woman shrugging her shoulders.
The Texas native suffered from a heroin overdose on July 24, 2018, and was rushed to the hospital.

The incident happened just a month after Demi admitted to relapsing in a song called “Sober." She has been open about her battle with substance abuse for several years.
The Disney Channel alum was sober for six years before her relapse.
Demi recently shared a snap of herself rocking headphones in the recording studio. She captioned it, "Making magic ✨?."
