Demi Lovato is changing it up! The singer is stepping into spring with a much shorter ‘do and she used Instagram to show off her new locks.
The 26-year-old documented the entire hair transformation on her story. In the first update, she shared a before picture of her ombre, mid-back length hair. “This was without extensions y’all!” she wrote. “It got so long!”
In the second picture, Demi’s hair and was darker and several inches shorter.
Clearly feeling herself and her new haircut, Demi posted a video so her followers were able to get better look at her makeover.

In a press release, Amber Maynard Bolt, the master stylist at Nine Zero One Salon, explained that the hairstyle has sentimental value. “Demi has been feeling great and wanted something to represent that," she said.
“She's been wearing extensions and growing her hair out for a while so this was a nice change up,” Amber added.
Since her July 2018 overdose and subsequent rehab stay, the Disney Channel alum has been re-committed to her health. A source told ET that the singer has cut ties with “enablers” and is using her career as motivation to stay sober.
