Derick Dillard doesn’t care what fans think of his wife Jill Duggar’s recipes! After fans bashed the former Counting On star for her most “unacceptable” recipe yet, Dillard clapped back, defending his wife and trolling her critics.
Earlier this week, Jill shared a recipe for “Thalia’s Chicken Spaghetti Sauce” on her blog DillardFamily.com. Fans were horrified to discover it was made with fours cans of soup — including cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, and tomato — as well as two sticks of butter.
“Jill, you have to wake up, and learn to cook for real, not just throwing cans of stuff together,” just one of many fans slammed. “Your meals will be much more healthier, and will taste better also. Go check out some cookbooks at the library.”
Derick noticed the hate and retweeted the recipe, calling it, “One of my favorite meals Jill cooks!”
Fans thought Derick needed a wake-up call, too. “Just because your wife was taught to use canned everything doesn’t mean you all need to keep that up. If you care about your children please take a course on healthy cooking or at least google it,” a fan replied.
Derick trolled back, “Healthy stuff doesn’t taste as good though. We’ll usually add as much butter, sugar, salt, and cream of mushroom as we need to make it taste really delicious.”

When a fan warned Derick, “With the heart disease in your family you better start eating better!” he replied, “YOLO!!!”
Derick has never been one to care about what the haters say. When his transphobic Twitter comments got him kicked off Counting On, Derick continued to slam TLC, claiming their coverage of Jazz Jennings on I Am Jazz was akin to child abuse.
