Derick, 30, shared this photo of himself smiling with a corn dog in hand and a plate of funnel cake by his side.
“Loving springtime on campus! I could get used to free corn dogs, funnel cakes, fries, and nachos for lunch! Getting my carbs and protein in for study fuel! #arkansas,” he captioned the pic.
Fans weren’t sure about the photo, both from a visual and nutritional standpoint.
“Is that a corn dog in your hand or are you just happy to see me??,” a fan joked. “That’s a HUGE corn dog ?,” said another.

Others were shocked Derick consider the snacks “study fuel.” “Carbs? I see nothing but junk...processed junk food. Good luck with your crash in an hour,” a follower slamed.
“‘Carbs and protein’ like any of it is actually healthy or going to fuel your body?,” one person wrote.
Derick has shared questionable food pics before. He once shared a photo of a turkey leg on Thanksgiving that left fans “uncomfortable.”
This also isn’t the first time Derick has come under attack over the food he eats. His wife Jill is often criticized for the recipes she shares, and Derick has been known to defend her on social media.
