“Today is decision day. I want to thank Wale and Seth Rogen for putting this on my radar,” Diddy, 44, said in a video posted to his Instagram. “Sometimes you’re living in your own bubble and you don’t even realize the importance of something you’ve created.”

He continued, “And with Making The Band and MTV, we created something special. We empowered young talent from all over the world, no matter what hood they were from or background they were from. Everybody had a chance if they can sing or if they can rap. They could dance and show off their talent.”

The new show is also embracing the power of social media. “If you feel like you have that talent and you want to do your audition live in front of the world and to me, upload your auditions to #MTBCasting,” Diddy announced.
