The stars of FOX's hit drama reportedly feel betrayed by Jussie, 36, after they supported him when he claimed he was the victim of an alleged homophobic and racist attack at the end of January.
The actor was arrested on Thursday, February 21, after police said it was all a hoax set up by the star himself. Jussie has been charged with a felony — disorderly conduct for filing a false police report. He posted bail and went straight to work on set later that night.

His presence didn't sit well with some. Many in the Empire family were reportedly upset he was back and working and want him fired entirely from the show. Others allegedly still believe him and don't believe he'd do something like that.
On Friday, news broke that his character has been cut from the final two episodes of the season. Show executives released a statement saying in part, "Jussie has been an important member of our EMPIRE family for the past five years and we care about him deeply. We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on set, we have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final two episodes of the season."
The second half of Empire returns to FOX on March 13.
