David Foster recently popped the question to girlfriend Katharine McPhee. His daughter, actress Erin Foster, poked fun at the couple commenting, "Mommy," on one of his Instagram posts.
Over the weekend David proposed to Katherine while on vacation in Italy. The two started dating last year and have only recently started making public appearances together.
Both David and Katharine confirmed the engagement news via social media with Katharine tweeting a sassy Ariana Grande meme and David taking to Instagram to post a photo of the couple with the caption, "?Yup!!"
It was on David's photo that his daughter, Erin, decided to poke a little fun at her dad and Katharine writing, "Mommmyyy ❤❤❤." Sister Sarah Foster also got in on the action commenting, "Out of the country. What did I miss?"

This will be David’s fifth marriage and Katharine’s second. David was previously married to Yolanda Hadid, Gigi and Bella's mom.
David told ET in March, "Well, you can't come between a man and his children," he said. "So, if whoever you're with gets along with your children, it's just such a bonus."
