Calling All Pink Ladies and T-Birds: We Cast FOX's Grease Live
Jan. 28 2015, Updated 2:07 p.m. ET
So basically FOX announced they'll be producing Grease Live during a three-hour event in 2015 (why must we wait so long?) and our minds started racing immediately about who should play these iconic characters. Fortunately, we consider ourselves pretty darn savvy when it comes to casting so just sit back and relax, FOX execs, we've done all of the work for you. Here's who we think should star in the live event. You can thank us later.
James Maslow is a no-brainer to play Danny. The man has clearly proved he can perform live in front of a TV audience on Dancing with the Stars, he totally has the footwork down and he can sing. Book him now.
So look past the fact that Lucy Hale is brunette and you will see she's perfect to play Sandy (the character does not have to be blonde, people). We already know she has the pipes for the job and she'd be so cute opposite James.
Demi Lovato as Rizzo? Yes, that's definitely a thumbs up. She's already been in the FOX fold on Glee and The X Factor, so Grease Live would be a natural fit.
Harry Styles is our Kenickie—the bad boy who really has a heart of gold.
How adorbs would Debby Ryan be playing Frenchy? We think she could totally nail "Beauty School Dropout."
Victoria Justice would be an ideal Marty—the flirty Pink Lady with a penchant for older men. She's super fun and the girl can sing.

Cody Simpson would be a great addition to the T-Birds and we think he'd make a perfect Putzie.
Awkward.'s Jilian Rose Reed would make a fun Jan and since it seems like she's everywhere lately (did you catch her recently on Jessie?) we want to continue to keep her busy with this.
So theoretically Tyler Posey is too handsom to play Sonny but the guy could totally pull off the goofball aspect of the character so we say give him a chance.
Don't worry, Mahomies, we haven't forgotten about your boy. Austin Mahone as Teen Angel, the dreamy guy who sings for Frenchy? Yes, please.
Something about Jim Parsons as Coach Calhoun just works, and the actor has done theater so he'd settle into the live aspect of the show nicely.
Dennis Haskins (that's Mr. Belding to us Saved By the Bell fanatics) could reprise his principal role in the form of Principal McGee. In the original it's of course a female role but we just really want to make this work.
And who could possibly be better for the role of Vince Fontaine than our own real life Vince? The one and only Ryan Seacrest.
