Gwen Stefani may be happy in her new relationship with Blake Shelton, but the former No Doubt singer revealed that she’s “still in shock” over the way her 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale ended.

In a profile for her upcoming album with The New York Times, the 46-year-old did not discuss the nanny cheating scandal that allegedly broke up her marriage, but she alluded to the family’s longtime caretaker Mindy Mann having a long affair.

“If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It’s a really good, juicy story,” she said, revealing that she found out “the secret” that ended their union while out with Adam Levine.

“My life was literally blown up into my face,” she said. “I’m gonna die. I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?”

Instead, she said she channeled the sadness of her divorce into writing music for her new album (“This Is What the Truth Feels Like” comes out March 18) which “more than half of the tracks are about discovering the spark of a new love,” presumably with Shelton.
