In what may be the saddest summer for celebrity couples ever, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani announced their divorce August 3, but could cheating be the reason?
According to multiple reports, Gwen filed for divorce because she believes Gavin had been “unfaithful” in their marriage.

“Gwen is absolutely devastated about the marriage ending, and she has been inconsolable,” an insider told RadarOnline. “But she had no other choice. She was very suspicious.”

“Gavin always denied anything inappropriate,” the source continued, “but her friends warned her that it seemed like there was something going on.”

Rossdale and Stefani were married for almost 13 years and have three sons together: Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and 17-month-old Apollo.

The exes announced their separation in a statement on Aug. 3: “While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.”

According to other reports, both parties were allegedly upset with how much they were away from one another, with Gwen filming The Voice and Gavin touring with his band, Bush.
In divorce documents, the couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and are seeking joint custody of their children.
