Hoda Kotb has yet to get a break from early morning wake-up calls! After hosting the fourth hour of the Today show for nine years, Hoda recently took time off to focus on her newborn daughter, Haley Joy, whom she adopted in February. And while something tells us Hoda didn’t get much sleep while taking care of her new bundle of joy, Hoda is already eager to get back to her Today hosting gig. During last night’s NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, a new promo aired announcing that Hoda would be back to the show starting this Monday, just two months after welcoming Haley into her life!
“Now you can see more of Hoda every morning with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie,” the promo said. “Join us as we welcome her back.” Then on Thursday morning’s show, Matt and Savannah confirmed the news! Even though Hoda typically co-hosts the fourth hour of Today with Kathie Lee Gifford, the promo suggests that Hoda might be joining the earlier half of the show.
Kathie Lee and Hoda recently shared an emotional phone call on-air when Hoda called in to mark their show’s ninth anniversary. “I want to say something to you, Kath, on our ninth anniversary, my life has changed so profoundly since I met you,” she said.
“I told you this before, but I cannot believe the path my life took after our lives intersected. So for every single day of the nine years, I love you,” Hoda continued.

And Kathie shared that same sentiment, saying, "You've changed mine, too, Hoda. Honestly. I have been blessed in my life two times to work with the most extraordinary people in the world and it just keeps getting better, and I love you and come home to us soon, OK, baby?"
And it seems like Hoda heard Kathie’s request! But before she gets back to work, Hoda has been making sure to squeeze in plenty of family time with Haley and her family. On Wednesday, the new mom shared lots of pics of her little girl bonding with the Kotb crew!
