IHOP Is Changing Its Name To IHOb But Won’t Say Why

Legendary pancake chain IHOP announced on its Twitter Monday that it will be changing its name to IHOb (lowercase b) beginning on June 11th. They have not revealed as to why they are doing this nor what the b stands for, however social media has come up with some pretty clever ideas for what it will actually “b"e.

IHOP has been a popular restaurant chain for sixty years, as it has ushered in millions of people to enjoy their delicious meals including celebs like Sean Penn and Selena Gomez

They dropped their big name change announcement on Monday, sharing a tweet that read: "For 60 pancakin’ years, we’ve been IHOP. Now, we’re flippin’ our name to IHOb. Find out what it could b on 6.11.18. #IHOb”.

Say what? Now social media has dropped some pretty hilarious yet somewhat on point suggestions about what the b could mean.

Some of the words that they came up with include: bancakes, barnacles, butternut squash, breakfast, beignet and a popular favorite… bacon.

IHOP is keeping their lips shut for now. "The blot thickens, what could it b?” they wrote. Oh, the suspense!
