It's an easy paycheck for him, as his movies all do astoundingly well at the box office such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Baywatch.
Life is great for him now, but it wasn't growing up according to the former WWE superstar. This included him and his mother Ata being extremely poor and at one point homeless.

He hit rock bottom at 15 when Ata tried to kill herself right in front of him. It was a situation that made him "devastated and depressed," however both of them eventually overcame their demons even though it's something they will never forget.
