The stilettos, the tailored mid-length dresses, the chic asymmetrical bob that became the new “Rachel” ‘do?! We have a lot to thank the glamorous Victoria Beckham for. And today, April 17th, is the day to put a few minutes aside, and pay homage to the British bombshell.

Victoria Beckham has made her mark on the fashion community and mingles with design legends like Diane von Furstenberg and Donatella Versace. Her dresses do no wrong. Seriously, they look totally flattering on just about anyone who puts one on.

And because we knew her 39th birthday was just around the corner, we had to get a fellow designer’s opinion. Silvia Arguello from NBC’s Fashion Star told us that Victoria Beckham has mastered the reinvention of herself.

“I think something that is very important in a designer is the fact of reinventing your own self and the fact of being flexible and being open to change. That reinventing of Victoria Beckham—you see her in totally different styles, totally different hairdos, and in totally different situations. And she’s always nails it,” says Silvia.
