Okay, the time has finally come. Jana Duggar is off the market! Well, not officially, but all signs are pointing to a possible courtship between the oldest Duggar girl and a close family friend, and it’s NOT Tim Tebow! #WorthTheWait
As OK! readers know, the 27-year-old reality star has vowed not to settle for just any old schmuck who comes along (the girl is serious), as she’s been surpassed by a big chunk of her siblings when it comes to the unofficial Duggar race to the altar – even her 19-year-old sister is engaged. Nonetheless, Jana’s “I will not settle spirit” seems to have paid off as she’s seemingly caught the eye of Jonathan Hartono, an old family friend who really seems to love himself some Duggars. Speculation about Jonathan’s relationship with Jana sparked after a video shared on Tumblr (originally posted to Jonathan’s Instagram story) showed Jonathan hanging out with Duggar patriarch, Jim Bob, with the caption “1 on 1 with Mr. Duggar.” Fans were quick to speculate that Jana’s possible beau was asking for Jim’s permission to enter into a courtship with Jana during the solo outing. #PerfectTiming

Jonathan’s “1 on 1” moment is similar to that of Austin Forsyth’s (Joy-Anna’s fiancé and longtime Duggar friend) courtship request when he spent some alone time with Jim Bob before asking him for his permission to begin courting Joy. Also like Austin, Jonathan has been a Duggar family friend for years.
According to reports, Jana and Jonathan have known each other since 2010, when Jana and her twin brother John-David met Jonathan and his sister Jennifer on a mission trip to Southeast Asia.
While neither party has confirmed a relationship more than friendship, as Counting On fans know, the Duggars do love a good TV announcement, and with their new season on the way, big Jana news could be on the horizon!
