For decades, there have been rumors that Janet Jackson had a secret child whom she abandoned, but she has never addressed it. Her former love, James DeBarge has, however, and he has a good idea as to why the singer never spoke about their alleged daughter.

James told RadarOnline Janet was likely pushed into hiding it due to her family name. “I’m not sure, but I think it was the pressure, the fame,” he said.

“When you’re young, it’s easy to be persuaded and to do things you may not even want to do…” he continued. And while it has not yet been proven that Janet does in fact have a daughter she has kept hidden for years, Tiffany Whyte, 31, claims that she is Janet's long lost daughter.

While Janet just gave birth to her son Eissa, in January, and is bonding with him in London, Tiffany grew up in the Pennsylvania foster system. She took a DNA test, as did James, and the results will be revealed on Radar next week.
