Janet Jackson Posts Heartwarming Throwback Photo With Her Father Joe

Janet Jackson has opened up for the first time since her father Joe passed away last Wednesday. She posted a beautiful throwback photo with him from when she was a child on Tuesday night, which prompted her millions of fans to leave her nothing but messages of love and support in the process.

The Jackson family patriarch reportedly passed away at 3:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday, June 26 in Los Angeles. The cause of his death was cancer, according to Radar Online.

Janet spoke eloquently about her father only days before his passing at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards back on June 22nd. She was on hand to accept their Impact Award (which has now been renamed the Janet Jackson Award).

“My mother nourished me with the most extravagant love imaginable, my father, my incredible father, drove me to be the best that I can,” she said.

She finally opened up in her own way about the passing of her father by posting a beautiful throwback picture of them two of them when she was a child.

The photo, which was captioned with a purple heart, shows Janet looking away from the camera as she sits on top of her father's lap. Her fans flooded the comments section with some loving messages for the "Call On Me" singer, including "My condolences to you and the family."
