Jenelle Evans announced she has filed paper work to divorce David Eason after two years of marriage. Just days after shocking the Teen Mom world, she has now requested a restraining order against her future ex-husband.
On Thursday, October 31, Jenelle announced she is leaving David on Instagram.
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions. I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been my life. Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make change,” she wrote.
“I’m starting that now. The kids are I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process," she continued. “I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”
In September 2017, Jenelle and David got married and the ceremony was featured on MTV.
In January 2017, they welcomed their first child together, Ensley Jolie. Jenelle has two sons from previous relationships, Jace and Kaiser. David has two kids from previous relationships, Maryssa and Kaden.
On November 5, news broke that Jenelle filed a restraining order against David for her and her three children, Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley, which was obtained by US Weekly.
Jenelle claimed that after announcing her separation from David, his threats allegedly "escalated."
“I married David on September 23, 2017. Since then, he has been abusive and violent towards me. Because of his behavior, I want to leave him. As he has realized this over the past couple of days, he has escalated his threats," Jenelle stated in the documents.
Adding, "Because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior, and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and for my children’s well-being."
Jenelle also detailed 11 alleged abuse incidents that have occurred throughout their relationship.

According to the documents, Jenelle claimed that an incident, which occurred in February 2019, David told her, "You can die for all I care. You're a piece of s--t. Biggest piece of s--t I've ever seen." Jenelle claims that she filmed David saying these threats, and then he locked her son, Kaiser, in a running vehicle, which left him terrified.
The most recent incident Jenelle detailed occurred in late October 2019 when she traveled to New York City, without telling David.
David allegedly accused Jenelle of cheating on him and sent a photo of an unknown man, threatening to hurt him. According to the documents, Jenelle wrote, "He said, 'This is your new boyfriend. I'm going to break his neck and feed you his head.'"
He allegedly also texted her, "My goal in life is to make sure you regret leaving me like this."
"Given his actions, and knowing his temperament, I believe he was implying that he would kill himself if I do not come back to him... For all of these reasons, I'm afraid that David will harm me or my children, and that he will continue to threaten me using text messages, phone calls, or on the internet," Jenelle stated.
Earlier on November 5, David claimed he was filing a missing person report for Jenelle and Ensley. “So since Jenelle has disappeared and I have no contact with her or Ensley,” he wrote in a now deleted post. “I have no option but to file a missing person’s report.”
For the last few years, drama has surrounded the couple. Jenelle has accused David of abuse and even called 911 back in October 2018, an incident which was explained in the restraining order. The disturbing 911 call was featured on Teen Mom 2. After the incident, Jenelle denied that David abused her.
In April 2019, David shot and killed their family dog, Nugget, another incident detailed in the documents. Following the scandal, they lost temporary custody of their children. In July, they regained custody after appearing in court a few times.
The dog killing scandal also led MTV to fire Jenelle after a decade of working together.
