Jenna Jameson is getting real about being a mom, and admitting that it's certainly not as glamorous as plenty of mothers on Instagram make it seem. In a bid to normalize breastfeed, she shared an intimate photo of herself in the shower with her daughter Batel and described motherhood as "hard" on many occasions.
Sharing this photo on Instagram, Jenna wrote as a caption, "This is motherhood. It’s not always shiny and perfect like so many instagrammers make us believe. There are days you question your strength and abilities. But then there are HARD days like today that prove your uncompromising power. I haven’t slept for two days and poor Batelli has been vomiting every 40 min like clockwork. We are in this together. So here’s to all of you selfless mamas out there, you make this world go round. #normalizebreastfeeding ."
Since Batel was born last April, Jenna has posted numerous photos of herself breastfeeding her baby, and has spoken about how doing it has created an unbreakable bond between the two.
In her many breastfeeding photos, Jenna uses the hashtag #normalizebreastfeeding in the caption. Breastfeeding photos has been a point of contention on Instagram, as in previous years, they have yanked photos featuring moms breastfeeding.

Since then, they have updated their policy, stating,“We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram."
They continued, "This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks. It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos of post-mastectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding are allowed. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too.”
