Jennifer Garner took her eldest daughter, Violet, out for a "pre-middle-school sneak away" — but they snuck away a little further than they intended. Turns out, Jen and her daughter were lost at sea in their kayak in Sweden and had to be rescued! Read on for more details.
"On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest...Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes," the actress captioned a photo of her and Violet in a kayak at sunset. "Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so."
"Did we have to be rescued?" Jen, 46, continued. "Yup."
Then she went on to praise her 12-year-old daughter. "#shenevercomplained," the former Alias star wrote. She also noted the beautiful sunset, adding "#thesunsetwasabigupside."

Jen later posted a selfie with the man who rescued them at sea. "If you’ve seen my post today… This is Mattias! Our savior! Thank you, @bipsterpersson!” she wrote in her Insta Stories.
Jen shares Violet with her ex-husband Ben Affleck. She recently said she "could cry" talking about her painful divorce from the Justice League star. And while Jen's been enjoying some one-on-one time with her kids, she still doesn't want them around Ben's longtime girlfriend Lindsay Shookus.
