Jennifer Lawrence hosted a star-studded rehearsal dinner on Rose Island in Rhode Island on Friday, October 18. The actress invited celeb pals like Kris Jenner, Bradley Cooper and Nicole Richie and threw a clambake for 140 guests ahead of her wedding to fiancé Cooke Maroney, People reported on Saturday, October 19.
The Oscar winner is set to wed her art dealer beau at the Belcourt at Newport on Saturday. The couple got engaged in February 2019 after less than a year of dating. The Silver Linings Playbook star is notoriously private about her personal life, but she opened up about her soon-to-be husband on Catt Sadler's podcast Naked with Catt Sadler in June and called him "the greatest human being I've ever met."
"He really is, and he gets better," she said. She couldn't help but gush when asked about how she knew he was the one for her. "I don’t know, I started with the basics. How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind? It’s just — this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid but he’s just, he’s — you know. He’s the greatest person I’ve ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney," she added.
According to reports, Jennifer and Cooke hired wedding planner Mark Seed to arrange an “elaborate affair” for 150 guests. Specialty cocktails have been picked and handcrafted for the reception. They are reportedly classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails, along with gin, cucumber, and lavender champagnes.

Appetizers will include sweet potato flat cakes, Brussels sprouts with cured egg yolk, smoked pork belly with pickled apple and salt cod beignets. For the main course, guests will be able to pick between wood-roasted fish with herbs and lemon infused butter and a five-week aged leg of beef served with forager’s sauce and all the trimmings. As for dessert, there will be fire-baked sourdough bread pudding with chocolate, salted caramel and fresh apple, cauldron fritters with bourbon cream and cinnamon sugar, and house-made marshmallow s’mores.
Jennifer and Cooke were photographed obtaining a marriage license in New York City in September. She shared her Amazon wedding registry with fans and it included everything from cheese slicers to weighted blankets.
This will be the first marriage for both Jennifer and Cooke. She previously dated actor Nicholas Hoult and Gwyneth Paltrow's ex Chris Martin.
