Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were all smiles after leaving her epic VMA after-party on Monday night. It was part of a much bigger experience for the pop icon that evening, as she took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award during the ceremony.
The longtime couple held hands after leaving Lower East Side hotspot Beauty & Essex.
She looked effortlessly stunning in her multi-colored ensemble with a black belt in the middle, while Alex kept it casual with a tucked-in black button down, jeans, and boots.
What a night it was for J. Lo. She put on an unbelievable performance, where the pop icon belted out some of her biggest hits from "Love Don't Cost a Thing" all the way to her latest song "Dinero."

"Dinero" actually won her Best Collaboration during the ceremony. The song features DJ Khaled and Cardi B, the latter of which won two of her own VMAs on Monday evening.
Her Video Vanguard acceptance speech was quite emotional, as she thanked many people in her life, including Alex towards the end. "You are like my twin soul, we are mirrored images of each other. My life is sweet and better with you in it," she said about her beau.
